This is a vital position in DBKA and involves contact with leading beekeepers and beekeeping organisations in Devon, the UK and abroad. Opportunites for original thinking and presentation of the vital topics of modern beekeeping are exciting and endless.

All cash recovered is paid directly back to members' branch funds.

Gift Aid
The Gift Aid scheme is for gifts of money by individuals who pay UK tax. Gift Aid donations are regarded as having basic rate tax deducted by the donor. Charities take your donation - which is money you've already paid tax on - and reclaim the basic rate tax from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) on its 'gross' equivalent - the amount before basic rate tax was deducted. Basic rate tax is 20 per cent, so this means that if you give £10 using Gift Aid, it’s worth £12.50 to the charity.

URGENTLY NEEDED - for the DEVON COUNTY SHOW

Two outstanding people are urgently needed to manage two of the prestigious stands in the Bees & Honey Marquee at the Devon County Show, and join the DBKA Show Committee which has delivered a Devon County Agricultural Association Gold Medal display two years running.

The stalls are the Information Gazebo, and the 'Taste of Honey' Stall.  Both Managers will each have a team of stewards to manage over the 3 days of the Show, and will need to be available to put up and break down their stalls (with help, of course!!) on the Wednesday before and Sunday after the Show.  Committee meetings occur approximately five times a year and are usually held at the Tom Cobley Inn at Spreyton.

For more information, please contact Ruth Neal, DBKA Show Chairman & Secretary, 01805-601715, ruthmneal@aol.com.
